Dr. Choma is a physician-engineer with a 15+ year track record of driving innovation at the interface of engineering, optics/photonics, and medicine. His career spans training in both biomedical optics and clinical medicine; leading a research laboratory at the Yale School of Medicine; practicing pediatrics at the Yale Primary Care Center; and being a scientist at Facebook. After giving an overview of his career and personal lessons on working in both academia and industry, Dr. Choma will lead a discussion with students and postdocs about career development and growth.
