Joint NPA/WIDG Seminar: Milind Diwan, Brookhaven National Laboratory - “Basic Mathematics for Understanding Noisy Waveforms and Frequency Spectra”

US/Eastern
WLC 108

WLC 108

Description

Join Milind Diwan from Brookhaven National Laboratory to review the basic mathematics for understanding random noise. This topic is useful to many of us working with particle detectors but not often formally taught. Milind will introduce some of the techniques involved in understanding random noise in physical systems, the mathematical tools needed for analysis, and a few applications.

Lunch will be served starting at 11:45 a.m. outside of WL-216. RSVP required: https://goo.gl/forms/2zd3o4fxB1pS4w8x1
