DESCRIPTION:Abstract: The LUX-ZEPLIN (LZ) experiment is a dual-phase xenon
time projection chamber designed to search for dark matter interactions w
ith unprecedented sensitivity. In a recent search\, LZ has observed one ev
ent in a region of low expected background consistent with a nuclear recoi
l that might be produced in certain interactions of galactic dark matter.
Details of the analysis\, results\, and future of LZ and liquid xenon sear
ches for dark matter will be discussed.\n\nhttps://indico.wlab.yale.edu/ev
